Inbound Agreement
Inbound Agreement
For this agreement, the licensor agrees to transfer the IP rights to a license. With this agreement, the licensor agrees to give in certain aspects of the IP for using the business involved in the contract. For this agreement to function correctly, the licensor is compensated as the licensee pays certain fees to use specific elements from the other brands' IP.
An inbound agreement is opposed to an outbound deal, with one party agreeing to pay in exchange for the right to use specific intellectual property, as agreed in the agreement signed by both parties. An excellent example of using the inbound deal can be observed in certain notorious cartoons or characters that are introduced on other products, such as cereal, clothing items, or toys representing well-known brands.
