A non-compete agreement is an agreement between two or more parties as it involves a legal agreement specifying that the employee can not compete with the employer as long as the contractual period is ongoing. With this contract, the employer can also ensure that their employees do not share crucial information with the competition during the contractual period, even after it ends.
This kind of agreement is usually helpful when hiring a new person as it offers the employer a safe environment that protects them from competition. Regarding the contract, the period differs and prevents the employee from competing with a former employer for a given period.
